Job Summary
Function:
Environmental Health & Safety- Develop and implement strategies that advance safety performance and strengthen the facility safety culture.
- Lead coach and develop safety and security personnel.
- Foster employee engagement ownership and continuous improvement through communication and training.
- Ensure compliance with regulations company standards and risk management requirements.
- Lead audits inspections and corrective action programs.
- Identify assess and mitigate occupational safety health and security risks.
- Develop and maintain safety health and security programs.
- Monitor performance through metrics inspections and trend analysis.
- Ensure accurate reporting documentation and records management.
- Provide effective safety health and security training.
- Communicate performance trends lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into operations.
- Represent the facility on corporate industry regulatory and community committees.
- Oversee emergency response security accountability and preparedness programs.
- Comply with internal control requirements and identify deficiencies.
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Occupational Health Industrial Hygiene Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive safety experience in an industrial environment.
- Experience leading safety programs compliance initiatives and risk management systems.
- Professional certifications such as CSP CRSP CIH COSS ROH CMIOSH MPH or equivalent preferred.
- Previous supervisory or people leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of safety health industrial hygiene and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership communication analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence culture change and collaborate across the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
