Job Summary

Responsibilities

HazTek is looking for an experienced Safety Specialist near Austin TX. Help support specific project needs and ensure that best practices are implemented safety compliance requirements are met and an improved safety culture and performance is delivered.

  • Oversee all aspects of a complex electricalstructures and construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
  • Proven ability to interact with teams and implement improvements
  • Attend safety department and management meetings training workshops and daily activity briefings
  • Ensures process is established that verifies qualifications training and PPE of personnel performing the work.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of direct safety experience in electrical construction required
  • NFPA 70e certification required
  • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certified
  • Bachelors degree in a safety related field preferred
  • Experience working a data center build or similar environment
  • Experience driving assurance around energy isolation and contractor lockout/tagout (LOTO) compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
