This opportunity supports a large-scale data center construction project working alongside an electrical contractor under the guidance of a Lead Safety Professional.

Project Details

• Location: New Albany OH

• Pay Range: $40.00$45.00/hour based on experience

• Per Diem: $1050 per week

• Duration: Approximately 34 months

• Schedule: Approximately 5060 hours per week with potential night shift requirements

• Project Type: Data center construction (electrical contractor)

• Reporting Structure: Working under a Lead Safety Professional

What Youll Do

As a Safety Professional youll play a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant construction site while supporting field personnel and project leadership.

• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits to identify hazards assess risks and recommend corrective actions.

• Partner with field crews supervisors subcontractors and project management to promote a strong safety culture.

• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations site-specific safety policies and client requirements.

• Document safety observations inspections incidents and corrective actions.

• Review and maintain employee safety training records and required documentation.

• Assist with incident investigations accident reports and safety communications.

• Participate in daily safety meetings toolbox talks and project safety orientations.

• Support the development and implementation of Site-Specific Safety Plans.

• Recognize safe work practices and proactively address unsafe conditions or behaviors.

• Collaborate with the Lead Safety Professional to ensure project safety expectations are consistently met.

What Were Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 35 years of relevant construction safety experience.

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.

• Current CPR/First Aid certification.

• Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction safety regulations and jobsite hazard prevention.

• Excellent communication documentation and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project leadership and field teams.

• Comfortable working 5060 hours per week including potential night shifts.

• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office email and electronic safety documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification.

• OSHA 500 certification.

• Previous experience supporting data center construction electrical contractors or large-scale industrial construction projects.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular walking and standing throughout active construction sites bending squatting climbing stairs and ladders and working on elevated platforms. Candidates must be comfortable navigating active construction environments and may occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Adequate vision hearing and manual dexterity are necessary to perform essential job functions safely.
