Job Description
We are looking for an experienced RPG Developer with strong expertise in IBM iSeries/AS400 application development and modernization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with modern iSeries technologies including Integrated Web Services (IWS) APIs and RPG SQL.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with RPG/RPGLE development
- Hands-on experience with RPG SQL
- Experience modernizing iSeries/AS400 systems
- Knowledge of Integrated Web Services (IWS) and API integration
- Ability to write clean efficient and maintainable code
- Experience debugging and resolving software defects
- Familiarity with Git or other version control tools
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and testing processes
Responsibilities
- Develop test and maintain software applications
- Analyze business and technical requirements
- Write scalable and maintainable RPG code
- Participate in code reviews and testing activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Support continuous integration and deployment processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application enhancements
Preferred Skills
- Experience with additional programming languages is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience in enterprise application support and modernization initiatives
