Coopers Houston is recruiting a Rolling Mill Operator for an industrial manufacturing operation in Houston Texas.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience as a Rolling Mill Operator Mill Operator Machine Operator Production Operator Manufacturing Operator Metal Processing Operator or Industrial Machine Operator.
The Rolling Mill Operator will operate rolling mill machinery and auxiliary equipment to process copper products according to technical specifications production schedules quality standards and established manufacturing procedures.
- Operate rolling mill machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Set rolling parameters according to product specifications and production requirements.
- Monitor product quality throughout the rolling process.
- Monitor operating conditions and identify process deviations.
- Collect product samples for quality inspection and testing.
- Record production quantities and downtime in production systems.
- Maintain rolling equipment readiness to minimize production interruptions.
- Report equipment problems unsafe conditions and operational incidents.
- Coordinate with Production Quality Maintenance and Supervisory teams.
- Maintain a clean and organized production area.
- Follow 5S workplace organization practices.
- Follow all company safety quality and environmental procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Approximately 1 year of experience operating rolling machines or industrial equipment preferred.
- Manufacturing or metal-processing experience is highly valued.
- Experience working with copper or non-ferrous metals is an advantage.
- Basic rolling process fundamentals.
- Industrial machinery operation.
- Use of basic measuring instruments.
- Overhead crane operation preferred.
