As a member of the team youll have the opportunity to work with a group of highly skilled engineers and scientists to bring new experiences to Apple products. This position requires a self-motivated robotics engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:nn- Designing and implementing AI/ML systems to solve real-world problemsn- Evaluating and debugging complex AI systemsn- Integrating intricate AI systems into a larger software stack

MS/PhD in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Robotics Math or related fieldnStrong software engineering backgroundnAbility to break down large features and implement practical solutionsnCuriosity about new technologies flexibility and openness to ambiguitynStrong proficiency with robot planning / decision making (e.g. reasoning under uncertainty POMDPs intent prediction etc.)

Strong proficiency with modern ML approaches (LLMs/VLMs/VLAs Diffusion Models etc.)nStrong proficiency with classical robotic algorithms (optimization graph search etc.)nFamiliarity with the full robotics stack (controls perception motion planning etc.)nFamiliarity with Swift and Apple developer tools
