Unit: MS/Tele 7th Floor

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is crucial in providing high-quality care to patients with medical and surgical needs particularly those with non-acute stroke conditions.

• Shift Type: Days
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend based on unit needs
• Holiday Requirement: One winter and one summer holiday
• Call or Standby: Possible standby no call required

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience
• Required Certifications: BLS Certification NIHSS Certification

• Ability to titrate drips including insulin and pain medications
• Centralized telemetry monitoring with validation of telemetry strips required from RNs
• Collaborate with a charge nurse and house supervisor as part of a highly functioning team
• Comfortable with equipment such as BiPap and High Flow oxygen

• Number of Beds: 32
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (50%) 5:1 (50%)
• Nurse Aide Support: Yes with average ratios of 8:1 to 10:1

This unit fosters a family-oriented environment with great support from all team members. New travelers are required to have no requests for time off (RTO) during the first week of assignment.
