This role partners closely with interdisciplinary teams families physicians and Regional Centers to ensure quality care regulatory compliance and person-centered outcomes aligned with each Individual Program Plan (IPP).Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing oversight and administer medications in accordance with physician orders and the Five Rights of Medication AdministrationConduct medication audits for each medication cycle ensuring adherence to the Eight Rights of Medication AdministrationAttending medical appointments and collaborating with physicians regarding health status care needs and treatment changesPerform or observe g-tube feedings and intramuscular injections as requiredMonitor and assess individuals following seizures injuries or changes in condition and documenting findings appropriatelyConduct physical assessments including vital signs and head-to-toe evaluationsMaintain accurate timely clinical documentation and promptly report health concerns injuries or behavioral changesDevelop implement and monitor Restricted Health Care Plans (RHPs); train staff and ensure complianceParticipate in IPPs transition meetings quarterly reviews and clinical staff meetingsRepresent Peoples Care at Regional Center and client-related meetingsProvide clinical training and guidance to LVNs LPTs DSPs and other care staffSupport individuals during community outings and recreational activities as neededPerform other related duties in support of program and individual needsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsResidential home and community-based environmentsOccasional outdoor work and travelAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyRequires standing walking bending reaching kneeling driving and other physical activities as necessaryQualificationsActive and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) licenseAssociate or bachelors degree in nursingMinimum of 3 years RN experience in a residential care or related settingAt least 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilitiesCurrent CPR/First Aid and CPI certifications preferred if not we can provideDSP I and DSP II certifications are to pass all pre-employment requirements including background screeningMust be at least 21 years of age with valid drivers license vehicle registration and insurance to drive for Redwood / Peoples CareBenefits Full TimeComprehensive benefits options include medical dental vision life STD LTD hospital indemnity critical illness and accident Health Care FSA and Dependent Care FSAEAP (Employee assistance program)Employee discount programPTO (Paid time off)Dayforce Wallet Daily PayPre-Tax 401(k)After-Tax RothTuition discount through Capella UniversityBenefits Part-TimeSick TimeEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Discount ProgramDayforce Wallet Daily Pay AccessTuition Discounts through Capella UniversityOur Commitment to Safety & Compliance All applicants are subject to a background check.
