Unit: PCU Nursing Float

Certs: BLS ACLS NIHSS - WA or Compact License
Ratios 1-4
EMR: EPIC
Charge Nurse: Yes free charge
Nurse Aides: Yes; CNA ratio 1:8-12
Tele Monitors: Yes
Do nurses read strips Yes and have remote tele monitor techs
Vents: no
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house - Hospitalist and Intensivist 24/7
IV Team : Yes 1100-2300
RT 24/7: Yes in house
Pharmacy 24/7: Yes in house
Shifts: 12 hours 7-7 - No Block Scheduling requests
Weekend Requirement - will be based on unit needs/demands
Holidays: Yes - Need to be flexible based on unit needs/demands
Floating - Yes - Clinicians will float to 4th 5th or 6th floor for PCU patients
Floor specific orientation - Yes - 12hrs policy/procedure; 12hrs on unit with preceptor; EPIC as needed
Additional Notes: RRT RN 24/7; Phlebotomy 24/7
Experience with CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis) is a plus but not required.
