Job Summary
CHI Health St. Elizabeth founded by the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in 1889 is a full-service 260-bed nonprofit regional medical center in Lincoln Neb. St. Elizabeth specializes in the treatment areas of newborn and pediatric care womens health burn and wound cardiology oncology emergency medicine orthopedics and neuroscience.
The Progressive Care Unit at CHI Health St. Elizabeth is a 24-bed stepdown unit incorporating a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients with many disease processes. As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patients individual physician. This will involve utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will be a pivotal healthcare professional delivering compassionate high-quality care that truly impacts our patients well-being and recovery.
Every day you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized comprehensive care making critical assessments performing skilled procedures and meticulously implementing patient care plans. - Follow the nursing process which includes: assess plan implement and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
- Assessment - Demonstrates a systematic dynamic way to collect and analyze the following healthcare consumer data including: psychological physiological sociocultural spiritual economic and lifestyle factors
- Plan Sets measurable and achievable short and long term goals according to standards of care based on the assessment by the nurse in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team.
- Implement Implements and/or modifies the plan of care using assessment data clinical reasoning based upon standards of care and evidence based practice. This includes care coordination education and discharge planning. The nurse is accountable for the care directly indirectly or through delegation. Professional and legal standards for delegation must be followed.
- Evaluate Uses a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals. Revision of plan of care when needed involving the healthcare consumer and the multidisciplinary team.
- Documents all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumers record.

- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire and
