RN Operating Room Weekend Option

As our RN Weekend Option you will assume responsibility for facilitating communicating and collaborating with the healthcare team and patients/families to identify and meet their physical emotional and spiritual needs during weekend shifts.

Every day you will promote the optimal health well-being and safety of patients through the nursing process adhering to patient care standards guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act all while demonstrating personal accountability for relationship-based care and organizational values.

To be successful in this role you will be a Registered Nurse with strong clinical assessment and communication skills adaptability for weekend duties and a commitment to patient safety and adherence to nursing standards aligned with our organizational mission and core values.

• Assess patients physical psychosocial cultural and spiritual needs through observation interview review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patients response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including but not limited to IVs incision/wound care medication administration catheterization and specimen collections.
• Promote advocate and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.
• Provide patient/family education through assessment of patient/family learning readiness needs and ability.
• Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patients preferences values and needs.

Schedule:36hrs/ week-2x 12-hour shifts- Saturday and Sunday additional day during the week TBD during interviews with OR manager.

No Call Required

Additional $10/hr weekend option differential applies for Saturday and Sunday shifts. The role does require a six-month commitment to the weekend option.

• Associates Degree in Nursing or by endorsement.
• One (1) year experience.
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
• RN License; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.

As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at St. Anthony North Hospital you will provide circulating support for a high-volume surgical department that manages approximately 600700 cases per month. Our facility features 10 OR suites a dedicated cystoscopy room and a minor procedure room. You will work within an orthopedics-heavy department that includes trauma sports medicine spine (utilizing STEALTH and 7D navigation) podiatry plastics robotics (DaVinci XI ROSA and MAKO) and a variety of other specialties including General ENT GYN Urology Bariatrics and GI. All associates are fully cross-trained to circulate across all service lines to ensure operational flexibility. Daily duties include providing intraoperative support such as managing sterile instruments and supplies facilitating efficient room turnovers and restocking for the following days cases. Throughout every procedure you will serve as a dedicated advocate for the patients safety and well-being.
