****will not approve blocked scheduling unless its weekends only I can ask. They also will not take duos that want same schedule or share car.
- # of Beds: 22- average daily census of 6
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Total knee replacements total hip replacements ankle replacements total shoulders spines- back and neck
- Are RNs required to titrate drips: No
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Pain medications antibiotics blood
- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift Does the charge nurse take an assignment: Yes
- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit Ratios Duties: Yes 1:13
- Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit Are RNs required to read their own strips What brand are the tele monitors: Tele boxes. Tele techs will read and interpret.
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling Block scheduling):// self scheduling with cyclic rotation
- Weekend Requirement: Every other
- Holiday Requirement: Rotate in with perm staff
- Floating Requirements: MedSurg rehab or PCU taking MedSurg acuity
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 1 day
