RN Medical Childcare (Full-Time)

ChildServe is looking for a RN to join our Medical Childcare team. Our program offers a specialized environment for children with medical complexities who live at home but need a higher level of care than traditional daycare can provide.

In this role youll provide compassionate skilled care to children ages 6 weeks to 21 years with complex healthcare needs while supporting each childs health growth and skill development. Schedule

• Operating hours: Monday-Friday 7:30a-6p
• 32-40 hrs/week variable shifts
• Full-Time benefit-eligible role including medical dental vision plans retirement with company match and generous PTO accrual including 16 hours of PTO front-loaded

How Youll Make an Impact

• Provide full range of nursing services that include physical assessments along with administration of medications feedings and treatments to meet each childs daily care needs.
• Completion of care plans as assigned
• Implement childs care plan include nursing therapy and behavior support conducting baselines support plans and procedures.
• Monitor childrens response to care.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinaryteamto ensure health and safety needs are addressed.
• Assist the clients in becoming as independent as possible through skill development and retention.
• Assist the clients with comfort measures including but not limited to positioning and safety devices.
• Maintain accurate complete and timely records.
• Report and document daily observations routine support provided and any health/physical/behavioral changes.
• Communicate with clients licensed professionalsChildServepersonnel families schools and the public in a courteous and professional manner.

What Youll Need

• Current valid license as a RN in Iowa.
• One year nursing experience.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 90 days and before working independently.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs be mobile within the clinic areas and frequently bend lift reach and stand.
• Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading writing and speaking the English language.
