Job Summary
The RN
- Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
- Assesses plans implements and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans.
- Collaborates with patients families and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
- Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records.
- Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs.
- Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
- Advocates for patients and supports their rights and psychosocial needs.
- Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.
- Demonstrates clinical expertise in dynamic and changing care environments.
- Implements strategies to improve patient outcomes and resource utilization.
- Serves as a role model and supports development of peers and team members.
- Manages resources prioritizes tasks and adapts to changing patient care needs.
- Supports orientation and training of new employees.
- Uses problem-solving skills to address patient care and operational challenges.
- Provides feedback and participates in shared decision-making activities.
- Supports education activities within the department.
- Maintains confidentiality and complies with regulatory and organizational standards.
Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
Experience: None.
Licensure Certification and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.
Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS PALS or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required including use of electronic medical records. For Behavioral Health roles must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

Compensation Range:
$33.52 - $50.28Employee pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications credentials education and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
