- Unit: ER
- # beds: 28 beds 4 fast track 2 trauma bays and hallway beds
- Certs: ACLS BLS PALS TNCC is preferred
- Ratios: 1 to 4
- EMR: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: yes - do not take pt assignment
- Nurse Aides: EMTs one on per shift also a midshift EMT they do tech duties
- Weekend Requirement: every other
- Holidays: work into perm staff rotation
- Scrub Color: navy
- Vents: yes
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: hosp 24/7 and intensivist 24/7
- IV Team: no
- RT 24/7: yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: yes
- Call: one day per month if it is your call teams turn it could be 2 days per month when call schedule comes out you have 3 days to sign up before you are just assigned to call
- Shifts: 12 hr days are 6a-6p mids have varied starts between 9a-3p nights have varied start times between 4p-7p made out at least 2 weeks in advance self scheduling by seniority
- Floating: no
- Floor specific orientation: 2-3 shifts
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 155 patients per day trauma stroke peds psych etc.
