• Assignment of level of triage as appropriate based on brief history and indicated vital signs. Performs and documents appropriate nursing history and physical admission on an ongoing basis.
• Performs and documents age specific basic physiological condition of the patient to include; mental status skin signs pain level and complaint specific information.
• Based on assessment appropriately informs M.D. of priority of patients needing exam/treatment. Evidenced by peer/M.D. input.
• Completes appropriate procedures to insure that department is always prepared for emergency patient care: 1. Crash cart glucoscan O2 tank check 2. Daily bedside supply check for 02 & suction.
• Sets priorities and gives nursing care based on the patients needs and age appropriateness.
• Implements the medical care plan as delegated.

• Registered Nurse without previous Emergency Department experience
• Registered Nurse: CA RN License
• Basic Life Support - CPR BLS
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PALS within 90 Days

• Previous Emergency Department experience
