CVICU:
# of beds 12
Ratios 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity
Required Certifications ACLS BLS
Common diagnoses/Types of patients AMI CAD PVD
Experience or Must have skills IABP CRRT Fresh OHS from the OR experience
Are RNs required to titrate drips Yes
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Both 24/7
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios No
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house Intensivists
RT in ICU 24/7 Available not unit specific but department specific may share with the ICU
Shifts & Scheduling 12 hrs 7/7
Weekend Requirement Will be required to work 2 weekend shifts per pay period (two weeks) this is not every other weekend. It could be every Friday night or every Saturday night depending on the needs of the unit. At times every other weekend may be possible but will be available at the discretion of Nursing Leadership

Is there a call or standby requirement Yes per contract max 3 per 12 wks
Floating Requirements Yes as needed based on department skill needs- float to ICU/PCU/MS/Tele- both campuses
