Position Description
Job Title: RN Clinical CoordinatorED Observation
Duration: Full Time
Location: Lakewood CO
Shifts: Nights

Job Summary:
In the role of RN Clinical Coordinator you will:

• Actively support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge department and/or service line.
• Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards.
• Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties.
• Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching mentoring and performance management of associates.
• Promote the optimal health well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Personally accountable for relationship-based care organizational mission and core values.

Education:

• Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required;Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

Certifications/Licenses:

• RN License required;Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
  • Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency i.e. drivers license register to vote etc. Compact to Compact. Upon issuance of a new multi state license the former license is inactivated.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required
• ACLS and NIHSS required within six months of hire or transfer

Experience:

• One year RN experience required
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
