As our Charge Nurse youll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care LTC or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.
Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential which aligns with your departments operational goals and objectives.
To thrive in this role you need to be accountable and confident. Youre an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions with physicians consultants and family advocates. Its also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
Responsibilities:
Provides direct patient care including patients plan of care medication administration responding to emergencies and supervising the nursing care on the unit.
Ability to serve as leader and teammate.
Ensure your direct reports and department are positioned to deliver the best care possible to our patients.
High level of engagement with the floor- visibly connecting with physicians nurses patients and families.
Monitor the efficiency of your department
Mentor people on your team. Share your knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers charge nurses and others
We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications. Our next posting period will be July 1 2026 for an October 16 2026 start date. Positions can be found under National Resident RN (<12 months experience as an RN) or RN Transition/Fellowship (>12 months experience as an RN.
- Graduate of accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program and Two (2) years experience performing acute care duties upon hire
- Registered Nurse: CA upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire
