What You Will Do:

• Provide direct and indirect clinical nursing services to adults and children served through BHNs Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) and outpatient psychiatry medication clinic.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments including reviews of systems mental-status updates Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) scoring and medical-clearance assessments.
• Administer intramuscular injections take and document vital signs monitor responses to treatment and communicate relevant clinical changes to prescribing providers and the treatment team.
• Support medication reconciliation and provide medication education to individuals served using collateral information and care coordination with BHN providers as appropriate.
• Collaborate with prescribers pharmacies emergency departments families crisis teams and collateral treatment providers to assess needs respond to changing situations and promote continuity of care.
• Triage urgent referrals submitted through Smartsheet and coordinate timely appointments and clinical follow-up based on identified needs and provider direction.
• Co-facilitate therapeutic or educational groups with nursing and clinical staff and contribute nursing expertise to individualized care planning.
• Maintain accurate timely documentation in CareLogic Smartsheet and other required systems ensuring records reflect sound clinical judgment and effective communication.
• Identify analyze and resolve problems that arise in service delivery while maintaining effectiveness in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Participate in staff meetings supervision mandatory training and professional development activities and complete other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts required.
• At least one year of experience working in behavioral health required.
• Basic understanding of psychiatric conditions psychotropic medications medication administration and the ability to accurately interpret medication orders.
• Knowledge of nursing assessment vital-sign collection intramuscular injections AIMS scoring medication reconciliation patient education and care coordination.
• Excellent clinical judgment problem-solving ability interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities respond effectively to urgent needs maintain organization and work successfully amid frequent interruptions.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with individuals served families prescribers clinicians pharmacies emergency departments crisis teams and other community partners.
• Commitment to culturally responsive care and the ability to support individuals and families from varied racial ethnic LGBTQ religious and other backgrounds.
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to use electronic health records CareLogic Smartsheet email and other agency communication systems; bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role including standing walking sitting reaching handling and lifting or carrying up to five pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay Range: $40.00-$46.00/hr
