Job Summary
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.
Join Mercys Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team at a Level I STEMI and Trauma Center.
Mercys CVOR provides advanced surgical care for adult patients across six operating rooms including a hybrid OR and a peripheral vascular lab. Nurses on this team support both Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery working alongside highly specialized surgeons performing:
Open heart and vascular procedures
Minimally invasive surgeries
Robotic cardiothoracic procedures
Vascular interventions and complex vascular surgeries

Required:
Strongly prefer one year of RN experience
Nursing degree from an accredited school
Current Missouri RN license
BLS certification
OR nurse with experience in a surgical setting
Interest in cardiovascular and vascular specialties
Comfortable in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
Team-oriented with strong critical thinking and communication skills
Interested in expanding skills in both circulating and scrub roles
