Risk Manager, Global Government Delivery Organization (GDDO)

The GGDO manages direct US Government programs as part of the Worldwide Public Sector this role you will work directly with customers partners and AWS service teams to manage technical and business integration challenges in support of US Department of Defense (DoD) Intelligence Community (IC) and other US Government programs that rely on the AWS Cloud.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of artificial intelligence in the cloud and have proven results within the Federal program management space. They will also have demonstrated the ability to think strategically about business product and technical challenges with the skill-set to dive deep and tactically drive business development programs. Excellent communications skills are a must. Candidates are expected to have the ability to write and convey compelling customer value propositions and articulate technical risks as well as to interface with AWS business units responsible for delivering capabilities to customers.

This role performs risk management across multiple ADC programs in collaboration with
the Program Managers and Principal Technologists. This position works closely with internal
AWS stakeholders to document risk and proposed AWS mitigation or response strategies. This
includes holding internal workstream owners accountable to milestones and customer
commitments. The Risk Manager works with the PMO to develop customer facing messaging
and collaborates with Contracts and Legal stakeholders to address AWS equity. This position is
responsible for identifying and using AWS approved tools to maintain a program risk register
that is briefed both at customer and internal program reviews. They are responsible for proactively identifying potential cross-program
risks and communicate broad business impacts to WWPS leadership.

Key job responsibilities
As a risk manager in AWS FDO you will:

Liaise with AWS service teams to ensure that AWS meets technical commitments to customers in named programs.
Interface with Capture Sales and Solutions Architecture teams to provide technical depth to partnership discussions and capture/pursuit decisions.
Coordinate a matrixed team drawn from the Federal business verticals in support of specific programs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop the long-term strategy for AWS to deliver in the Federal program space including global infrastructure feature and service deployment and go-to-market approach.

- 5 years of in program management workforce strategy development or metrics-driven decision making experience
- 5 years of developing negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience selling enterprise software or cloud-based applications
- Current active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance

- Masters degree in business data science public administration finance engineering human resources or related field or PMP certificate
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying negotiating and executing complex legal agreements
- Experience designing implementing and scaling workforce development programs across large-scale operations including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations across leadership and cross-functional teams
- Experience using analytical tools for workforce metrics and reporting

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
