JOB SUMMARY
Directs the Health Services-wide Risk Management and Quality Improvement Program across divisions programs and service sites to reduce patient safety events mitigate organizational risk and improve clinical operational and service outcomes for Health Services patients clients and community members. This position provides Health Services-wide program direction for risk management patient safety grievance response quality infrastructure performance improvement and regulatory readiness. The position establishes standards policies workflows and accountability mechanisms that govern how Health Services programs identify risk respond to safety events implement corrective action and improve quality performance. Supervises population health and patient/community engagement functions that directly support patient outcomes and access.

The following minimum qualifications are REQUIREDfor this position:- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to area of assignment; AND
- 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in area of assignment including at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Applicants must have at least 6 months of work experience to receive equivalency.
Special Requirements:- Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
- Valid Oregon drivers license or the ability to obtain.
- This position requires driving and may require use of a personal vehicle.
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Supervisory experience required; experience leading cross-functional improvement work.
Bachelors degree required (nursing public health healthcare administration quality or related field).
Demonstrated experience in healthcare risk management and quality improvement (FQHC/community health experience strongly preferred).
Experience with electronic health records and incident reporting/quality reporting systems required.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards relevant to risk patient safety and quality improvement (e.g. HRSA expectations HIPAA collaboration etc.)
Preferred certifications: CPHQ and/or CPHRM (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)
Excellent change-management and communication skills (written oral and presentation skills)
Must possess or obtain within 30 days of hire a valid Oregon drivers license.
Must pass a criminal history background investigation.
