Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Rework Technician to join our electronics manufacturing this role you will perform advanced electronic troubleshooting rework and repair while supporting the daily workflow of the rework department. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills a keen eye for detail and experience working with electronic assemblies to ensure products meet quality standards before returning to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced rework and repair of electronic assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level.
  • Review failed or nonconforming products and determine the appropriate repair process.
  • Use soldering equipment hot air stations hand tools microscopes and electronic test equipment safely and effectively.
  • Accurately document all repair activities and verify completed work meets quality standards.
  • Communicate technical issues recurring failures or documentation concerns to the Production Support Specialist.
  • Help maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
  • Support daily workflow and production goals within the rework department.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent technical and/or military training.
  • Experience performing electronic rework and repair including SMT and through-hole components.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings bills of material (BOMs) schematics and work instructions.
  • Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred:

  • IPC-7711/7721 certification or equivalent electronic rework experience.
  • Experience using microscopes hot air rework stations and electronic test equipment.
  • Previous experience leading or directing workflow in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to move between workstations throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently or with assistance when needed.
