Seeking a Compassionate Respiratory Therapist in West Branch MI.
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) dedicated to improving patient health comfort and confidence through personalized inhome respiratory care. On-Call Duties: On-call if driver does not respond
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct inhome respiratory assessments with compassion and attentiveness ensuring patients feel heard supported and respected.
- Provide clear empathetic education to patients and caregivers on ventilators oxygen therapy and other respiratory equipment helping them feel confident and secure in their care.
- Adjust ventilator settings and clinical plans based on patient needs and physician orders prioritizing comfort safety and individualized care.
- Monitor maintain and troubleshoot advanced respiratory equipment with patience and reassurance reducing stress for patients and families.
- Maintain accurate timely documentation of all clinical services and interactions to support continuity of care and positive health outcomes.
- Offer ongoing phone support and followup care providing calm compassionate guidance during moments of uncertainty or urgent need.
- Participate in oncall rotations and complete home visits as needed delivering care with empathy and professionalism.
- Support the training and orientation of new clinical staff modeling patientcentered communication and compassionate care practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure patients receive safe reliable and dignified respiratory support in their homes.
Required Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Active licensure in your primary state of residence as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) or other acceptable medical credential (e.g. RC RN LPN LPV) based on state licensure laws
- Willingness to obtain licensure in neighboring states if required by service area
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Completion of an accredited program in respiratory care nursing or a related paramedical field
- Experience in home respiratory care or home healthcare
- Degree in respiratory therapy or a related science
- At least one year of relevant clinical experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology
