Resource Specialist (RSP) Teacher, Independence High School (Educational Options)

GENERAL DESCRIPTIONUnder general direction provides instruction and services for those pupils whose needs have been identified in an individualized educational program developed by the individualized education program developed by the individualized education program team and who are assigned to regular classroom teachers for the majority of a school DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITITESConsult with parents regular classroom teacher and other specialists regarding students who have been admitted to the Resource Specialist students to determine present performance levels learning styles and areas of and maintain appropriate student records files and primary responsibility for development and implementation of the Individualized Education Plan and the IEP team instruction and services to students enrolled in the Resource Specialist special education services and regular classroom activities for students enrolled in the Resource Specialist and coordinate the work of instructional schedules and timelines to implement educational and review pupils academic and social professional competence through participation in personnel development a functional and attractive environment for appropriate inservice to site staff to enable them to be involved in implementing appropriate programs for assigned information regarding education and services to duties as in assessment development and interpretation of Individualized Education Programs; selection of appropriate materials for working effectively with individuals with exceptional to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues and of current trends innovations and exemplary practices in special to adhere to the policies and regulations of the Golden Valley Unified School vision to read printed materials; sufficient hearing to conduct in person and telephone conversations; sufficient mobility to move about he classroom; ability to speak in an understandable voice with sufficient volume to be heard in normal conversational distance on the telephone and in addressing Specialist Certificate or Special Education Credential with 3 years teaching and successful teaching valid Class III California Drivers License insurable by MCSOS EXERCISEDInstructional Aide and studentsREPORTS TO AND EVALUATED BYPrincipalWORK YEAR ASSIGNMENT186 DAYS
