POSITION: Residential Support Specialist. REPORTS TO: Residential : Part-time/Non-Exempt/Permanent. LOCATION: In-Person Falls Church Virginia. PROGRAM: Baileys Crossroad Community Summary:FACETS is looking for part-time relief Residential Support Specialists (morning evening and overnight shifts available) to provide client-centered and trauma-informed Residential Support Specialists for Baileys Community Shelter a 52-bed program serving single adults experiencing homelessness with two additional floors dedicated to Permanent Supportive Housing. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting residents as they work toward stability and Support Specialists play a crucial role in providing 24/7 direct support and guidance to individuals residing in the shelter. This position involves assisting residents with daily needs addressing immediate concerns monitoring compliance with shelter rules medication monitoring and crisis intervention. This position is also responsible for maintaining safety and security for residents and ensuring smooth program operations at all is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about working with individuals experiencing homelessness. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills sound independent judgment and experience in homeless services and an empathetic approach. Here at FACETS every team member plays a role in making a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable and Responsibilities:Manages the front desk and provides direct supervision and assistance to clients fostering a safe and supportive environment by enforcing shelter rules for clients monitoring client activities and providing ongoing for providing staff coverage to ensure the safety and security of residents and the program at all times including responding to crises and facilitating appropriate the case manager in developing implementing and monitoring residents individual service plans to support progress toward housing stability and personal with other staff members to ensure the residents needs are met including providing supportive counseling life skills training or transportation as regular internal and external walkthroughs of the entire facility on an hourly schedule or as needed throughout each shift and promptly reporting any maintenance health fire or safety concerns to ensure a secure clean and well-maintained shelter residents behavior and progress in HMIS ensuring accurate timely and confidential recordkeeping in accordance with program and data quality a welcoming inclusive environment while maintaining the highest professional standards in all interactions and FACETS in the community in accordance with Agency Mission Vision and Code of other duties as Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of current social services homelessness housing issues and methods/approaches to address housing or understanding of tenants rights and responsibilities as well as strengths based case to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in must be able to lift items weighing 10-50 will be required to pass criminal background Certification drivers license reliable transportation good driving record and personal car to drive 15 passenger Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a be able to lift 50 pounds at a be able to attend occasional meetings at other FACETS office locations within Fairfax County including 3 annual organization-wide fundraising events each :Hourly: $18 - $20 offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualification/:Paid medical dental and vision insurance for full-time employees with competitive family rates and medical plan Basic Life Insurance with an option to buy additional coverage.403(b) retirement plan options with generous -time employees receive paid annual vacation and sick leave paid holidays and floating Spending Accounts (FSAs) for healthcare and dependent -Term Disability Short-Term Disability 100% employer Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Reimbursement of work-related expenses including portions of mileage and mobile data -going professional development and training; reimbursement for portions of tuition training or (re)certification in areas related to current at FACETS is driven to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors experiencing homelessness hunger and poverty.
