PositionInformation

Responsibilities:

  • Implement field efforts to collect data from wildlife on sponsored projects.
  • Collate curate and analyze data collected in field related to pathogens from feral swine in livestock wildlife environment etc.
  • Maintain field equipment and prepare reports.
  • Trap handle and/or euthanize captured wild animals.
  • Operate and maintain safety in all operations of agency vehicles and/or equipment including firearms.
  • Work beyond normal business and/or work on weekends as needed.

Occasional Duties:

  • Coordinate and Assist Internal and External Research Partners

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Wildlife Management or closely related field.
  • 4 Years relevant experience.

Required special knowledge abilities and skills:

  • Operation of off-road vehicles and equipment.
  • Use of firearms to euthanize wild animals.
  • Safe conduct of animal trapping.
  • Use of computers to enter data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must lift heavy objects and exert heavy force.

Required licenses certifications or registrations:

  • Ability to obtain Class C Drivers License

Preferred licenses certifications or registrations:

  • License to Carry Firearm
