PositionInformation
Responsibilities:
- Implement field efforts to collect data from wildlife on sponsored projects.
- Collate curate and analyze data collected in field related to pathogens from feral swine in livestock wildlife environment etc.
- Maintain field equipment and prepare reports.
- Trap handle and/or euthanize captured wild animals.
- Operate and maintain safety in all operations of agency vehicles and/or equipment including firearms.
- Work beyond normal business and/or work on weekends as needed.
Occasional Duties:
- Coordinate and Assist Internal and External Research Partners
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Wildlife Management or closely related field.
- 4 Years relevant experience.
Required special knowledge abilities and skills:
- Operation of off-road vehicles and equipment.
- Use of firearms to euthanize wild animals.
- Safe conduct of animal trapping.
- Use of computers to enter data.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must lift heavy objects and exert heavy force.
Required licenses certifications or registrations:
- Ability to obtain Class C Drivers License
Preferred licenses certifications or registrations:
- License to Carry Firearm
