Research Engineer, Agent Products

Build product experiences and infrastructure that help teams improve the behavior and reliability of AI agents in production. This hands-on role combines agent engineering with full-stack product work and offers the opportunity to shape new capabilities from early concept through launch.

• Build agent products that combine strong technical capabilities with polished intuitive user experiences.
• Design and ship new agent capabilities from 0 to 1 within a growing product.
• Work across the stack as needed with most of your time focused on agent infrastructure and product development.
• Turn customer feedback about agent behavior into practical product improvements.
• Contribute to a high bar for product quality and engineering craft as the team grows.

• Three to seven years of engineering experience.
• Production experience building and designing AI agents beyond prototypes or hackathon projects.
• Strong product engineering skills and the ability to ship features end to end.
• Basic full-stack engineering ability; TypeScript experience is a plus.
• Comfort with early-stage product development ambiguity and 0-to-1 work.
• Clear customer-facing communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts and build trust with varied stakeholders.
• Experience with agent evaluations observability or behavior monitoring is a plus.
• Strong product design sensibility or front-end engineering experience is also a plus.

Base salary: $200000 to $350000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

On-site in San Francisco California five days per week.
