Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking for an early to mid-career paralegal to provide exceptional legal support services to a government client in the Chantilly VA area. Candidate will be responsible for providing legal and administrative support services to the Office of General Counsel for all legal matters in support of a rapid prototyping organization. The paralegal will assist the General Counsel with the implementation of Department of War Ethics Programs (Standards of Conduct) and perform legal research and writing in support of RDT&E projects across the entire Department.

Responsibilities
  • Perform legal research and writing in support of all legal matters associated with a DoD Field Activity to include but not limited to:
  • Ethics Program (Standard of Conduct)
  • Documentation and correspondence preparationin support of congressional inquiries
  • research and documentation preparation surrounding policies regulations and implementations associated with RDT&E projects within the Department of War
  • Coordination of correspondence communication and implementation of DAFA policies as it related to General Counsel
  • Assist with all phases of the ethics program regarding matters such as financial disclosure reports ethics inquiries and preparation of draft documents in support of legal recommendations
  • Assist with the development of training materials briefings and instructions materials in support of General Counsel
  • Provide Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) support litigation support and protest support to General Counsel
  • Additional tasks and duties as identified by the General Counsel
  • Excellent Time management multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
  • Professional competence and specialized knowledge base as it relates to the Department of War/Federal Government
  • Ability to consistently deliver high-quality oral and written work products based on knowledge of federal and state court systems legal research procedures and legal research resources and tools.
Required Qualifications
  • TS/SCI Clearance; #qinetiqclearedjob
  • Bachelors degree AND 3 years of experience performingadvanced paralegal work in the Federal Government OR a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills with the knowledge and skills to interact with senior executive management officials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience and user of DoD Office and networks to include but not limited to CATMS and telecommunications systems such as NSTS TSVTC etc.
Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $85000 - $135000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
