Job Summary
Position Title:Research Coordinator on a 5-year NIMH Funded longitudinal study
Schedule:Full-Time
Duration: 6-month initial appointment with renewal thereafter.
Location:Los Angeles CA (the position requires the individual to be based in Los Angeles)
Project title:Social Networks Engage (SNEngage): A longitudinal examination of factors predicting thesocial networks and mental health services of individuals with serious mental illnesses
Principal Investigators: Rohini Pahwa PhD and Erin Kelly PhD
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate a 5-year longitudinal research study
- Implement recruitment plans
- Screen participants for eligibility
- Obtain participant consent and schedule assessments
- Oversee participant compensation reconcile petty cash and participant compensation logs
- Refine and implement tracking protocols to maintain high follow-up and retention rates
- Conduct assessments with participants as needed
- Perform other related activities as required
This position is classified under the professional research staff category at NYU and does not qualify for visa sponsorship including STEM OPT extension. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of employment.
- Masters degree or higher in social work public health psychology nursing or other social/behavioral science disciplines
- Experience with research and participant tracking
- Excellent organizational skills
- Willing to travel within Los Angeles for project activities
- Must have a high level of attention to detail flexibility ability to work on a team and punctuality
Preferred Education Experience and Skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Familiarity with institutional review boards HIPAA regulations and clinical research standards. Priorexperience working with research protocols.
- Experience with working with adults with serious mental illnesses
- Experience with quantitative methods
- Experience with qualitative research methods
- Experience managing a team and/or supervising staff
