Job Summary

Help Advance Clinical Research Through Strong Financial and Contract Management

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Research Contracts Administrator to join our Clinical Research this role you will help ensure the financial and operational success of clinical research studies by supporting budget development contract administration financial compliance and sponsor relations.

Youll work closely with research leadership investigators study coordinators sponsors Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and finance teams to evaluate new research opportunities negotiate budgets manage financial processes and support the successful execution of clinical trial agreements.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing financial data negotiating agreements managing complex processes and contributing to research that advances patient care and medical innovation.

What Youll Do
  • Evaluate the financial and operational feasibility of clinical research opportunities
  • Develop and analyze study budgets to determine economic viability and support research planning
  • Participate in feasibility reviews and collaborate with research leadership on study assessments
  • Review budget-related contract terms and support negotiations with sponsors and CROs
  • Coordinate the preparation review and execution of clinical trial agreements budgets amendments and contract extensions
  • Serve as a liaison between research teams sponsors CROs and financial stakeholders
  • Monitor compliance with contractual payment terms including startup payments patient visit reimbursements enrollment incentives and milestone payments
  • Establish and maintain study accounts and financial tracking processes
  • Support research billing activities fee ticket development and revenue management processes
  • Collaborate with investigators study coordinators coding professionals and departmental leaders to ensure accurate study-related financial documentation
  • Assist with study revenue projections and financial oversight throughout the research lifecycle
  • Provide guidance and training to affiliated research partners regarding research finance processes and systems
  • Maintain accurate records documentation and reporting related to research contracts and budgets
  • Support process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency compliance and financial performance
What Were Looking For
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Strong analytical financial and organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret contracts budgets and financial documentation
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders sponsors investigators and research teams
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex financial and contractual situations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial management tools

Preferred:

  • MBA or other advanced business degree
  • Experience with clinical research administration research finance healthcare contracts or grant management
  • Knowledge of clinical trial budgets sponsor agreements and research compliance requirements
  • Experience working with hospitals academic medical centers research organizations or CROs
