FULL TIME RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

(Veterinary Technician)

The Hubbell Lab at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Full time Research Associate to work with preclinical experimentation and animal modeling.

The Hubbell lab is known for extensive bioengineering and biomaterials for immunomodulation with a keen eye on translation into clinical settings.

Responsibilities

Candidates will be responsible for:

• Administering injections (intravenous tail vein intraperitoneal and subcutaneous)
• Routine sampling (blood collection via submandibular or submental puncture)
• Mouse colony management and husbandry (including breeding and separation of cages)
• Scoring various autoimmune models (paralysis and arthritis) and
• Necropsy and organ harvest.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in mouse rearing and treatments as exemplified by a strong publication record and/or references. Previous experience in animal injections sampling husbandry and general care is necessary. Aseptic surgical experience is a plus.

Salary range

In compliance with NYCs Pay Transparency Act the annual base salary for this position is $62499 depending on the candidates experience and qualification.

Expected start date and period of employment

Expected start date is Sept 1 2026. This position is expected to be for 12 months.

Candidates should have at least a 1 year of experience or 3 years experience in Immunology Bio- or Biomedical Engineering Biology or a related field with a BS in those fields preferred Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
