Job Summary

The Research Assistant will support faculty in Public and Ecosystem Health with research applied practice and teaching activities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a range of academic and professional projects while gaining experience in research support project coordination and public health education. The ideal candidate will be organized detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a collaborative academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews and assist with gathering organizing and synthesizing relevant information.
  • Compile research teaching and project materials and develop summary reports and other written materials.
  • Assist with meeting coordination scheduling agendas and follow-up activities.
  • Support planning and coordination of events presentations and other faculty activities.
  • Assist with course planning organization and management including preparation of instructional materials.
  • Provide general administrative and project support as assigned.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in public health or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications and willingness to learn new tools as needed.

Position Details

  • This is an onsite position located in Ithaca NY
  • This is a part time 20hr/wk position
  • This position is expected to start on August 24th and end on December 31st 2026
  • The anticipated pay rate is $25/hr
