Job Summary
The Research Assistant will support qualitative research related to the Geriatric Academic Career Award under the supervision of Julia Loewenthal MD The position will focus on data collection qualitative analysis and preparation of academic products related to geriatrics medical education and integrative medicine.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with participant recruitment scheduling interviews and focus groups.
Review de-identify organize and code qualitative data.
Help develop and apply qualitative codebooks.
Participate in thematic analysis and research-team meetings.
Conduct focused literature reviews.
Assist with abstracts presentations manuscripts and IRB materials.
Maintain confidential and accurate research records.
Complete required research training and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in public health social sciences education health sciences or a related field.
Relevant research and data management experience 1-2 years required.
Qualitative research experience preferred.
Masters-level training completed or in progress is preferred but not required.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Strong written verbal organizational and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Familiarity with qualitative software such as NVivo and Dedoose.
Interest in geriatrics aging or medical education.
