Remote General Radiologist

UConn Health Community Network

UConn Health Community Network is seeking an experienced General Radiologist to join its growing community-based radiology program. This is a fully remote position providing daytime diagnostic radiology coverage for community hospital partners and outpatient imaging sites.

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Position Highlights

  • Fully remote practice with a UConn Healthprovided PACS workstation
  • Daytime weekday shifts
  • Weekend daytime general radiology call
  • Interpretation of STAT emergency inpatient and outpatient studies
  • Broad general radiology practice including CT radiography ultrasound and other modalities consistent with training
  • Direct collaboration with UConn Health radiologists community clinicians technologists and imaging teams
  • UConn community faculty appointment

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely interpretation of STAT emergency inpatient and outpatient examinations.
  • Prioritize urgent studies including trauma stroke and other acute presentations.
  • Provide clear actionable reports and appropriate follow-up recommendations.
  • Communicate critical and unexpected findings directly to referring clinicians.
  • Consult with clinicians and technologists regarding imaging findings protocols and appropriate imaging utilization.
  • Participate in weekend daytime general radiology call.
  • Participate in peer review quality improvement and standardization initiatives across the network.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
  • Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
  • Minimum five years of post-training experience in general diagnostic radiology
  • Proficiency in emergency and inpatient radiography CT and ultrasound
  • Connecticut medical license or eligibility
  • Eligibility for UConn community faculty appointment and appropriate medical staff privileges
  • Ability to maintain a secure private remote reading environment with high-speed internet connectivity
  • Ability to participate in weekend daytime call

Fellowship training emergency radiology experience and prior teleradiology or community-based practice are preferred.
