Remote Chat Support Specialist
Job Summary
The Mountain Lion Foundation is seeking a friendly responsive and mission-driven Remote Chat Support Specialist to serve as a first point of contact for members of the public supporters donors volunteers and others interested in mountain lion conservation.
The Chat Support Specialist will provide timely and helpful assistance through online chat email and other digital communication channels. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people communicates exceptionally well in writing and is passionate about wildlife conservation and the Mountain Lion Foundations mission.
Respond promptly and professionally to questions received through website chat email and other digital channels.
Provide accurate accessible information about the Mountain Lion Foundation its programs conservation work campaigns and educational resources.
Assist members donors supporters volunteers and members of the public with questions and requests.
Help visitors navigate the organizations website publications resources donation options and membership services.
Respond thoughtfully to questions and concerns regarding mountain lions and conservation issues using approved organizational resources and information.
Identify questions requiring specialized knowledge and appropriately refer or escalate them to the relevant staff member.
Maintain accurate records of customer and supporter interactions in the organizations CRM or support system.
Protect supporter and donor information and follow organizational privacy and data-handling procedures.
Recognize opportunities to strengthen relationships with supporters while maintaining a helpful non-sales-oriented approach.
Monitor incoming inquiries and ensure questions are addressed within established response-time standards.
Provide feedback to staff about frequently asked questions recurring concerns and opportunities to improve online resources.
Support special campaigns educational initiatives fundraising activities and other digital engagement efforts as needed.
Excellent written communication grammar spelling and editing skills.
Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate complex subjects clearly and respectfully to a general audience.
Excellent judgment when responding to sensitive controversial or emotionally charged wildlife-related questions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple conversations or requests while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Proficiency with email web-based communication platforms CRM systems and standard office software.
