JOB DESCRIPTION
Serves students faculty staff and community members by providing information and services revolving around registration to the college and classes. As well as assist in accurately maintaining Colorado Mesa Universitys student records.
Estimated 5-10 hrs per week based upon work-study funding level during the office hours of Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Must have work study or MAVworks funding.
Duties:
- Assisting walk-up email and phone traffic at the front counter by answering questions and providing direct assistance to processes.
- Assisting students with processes within the Registrars Office such as Holds Immunization Verifications Mav Zone processes Registration and Web Registration Add/Drop Student Appeals Schedule and Transcript Printing Verifications Graduation Petitions and Mail Processing.
- Entering data and completing searches within the student database system.
- Directing students to the appropriate service areas when the student needs assistance outside of the realm of the Registrars office.
- File/Document preparation: Preparing student files and daily documents for the scanning process.
- Scan prepared documents using high-speed scanners into CMUs records management software (Xtender).
- Index scanned documents into individual student files.
- Audit indexed documents within individual student records for accuracy making changes where necessary.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of student information and records.
- Contributes to team effort by independently working on tasks assigned as well as ongoing tasks.
