About the Role

Hello RNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a School Nurse supporting students in a school-based health room in Aurora this role youll provide student health services manage day-to-day care and support students with a variety of medical and health needs.

This is a great opportunity for nurses interested in pediatrics public health or transitioning into a school-based role while enjoying a consistent school-year schedule.

What Youll Do

• Triage and manage student injuries illnesses and chronic conditions

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and care plans

• Maintain accurate student health records and ensure compliance with applicable requirements

• Communicate with families regarding student health needs and updates

• Collaborate with school staff administrators and special education teams

• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate

• Respond to medical emergencies and follow school safety protocols

• Monitor immunization compliance and support student health screenings

• Promote health education and wellness initiatives
  

What Were Looking For

• Active Colorado RN license

• Colorado CDE School Nurse authorization or ability to obtain

• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check

• Experience in pediatrics school nursing or public health preferred

• Strong clinical judgment organization and communication skills

• Passion for supporting students and working in a school-based environment
