Job Description

As a Surgery Care RN you will play a key role in guiding patients through same-day surgical procedures combining clinical expertise critical thinking and compassionate care to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.
What Youll Do
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing same-day surgical procedures.
- Perform pre-operative assessments including reviewing medical history vital signs laboratory results medication history and consent verification.
- Educate patients and families on procedure expectations recovery discharge instructions and follow-up care.
- Coordinate individualized plans of care and collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and care for patients during Phase II post-anesthesia recovery including pain management and discharge readiness.
- Supervise and delegate care as appropriate while advocating for patient safety and positive outcomes.
- Accurately document nursing assessments interventions and patient progress.
Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or another compact licensure state.
Preferred
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
