- Minimum Qualifications
- Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following:
Three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A bachelors degree in nursing plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A masters degree in nursing or public health plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A doctorate in nursing or public health plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse. - Job Specification

- Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As a RN Supervisor A the incumbent will support clinical operations by:- Providing direct supervision to assigned registered nursing staff including determining work assignments reviewing work approving leave within delegated authority monitoring performance completing required performance evaluations and supporting staff development.
- Develops maintains and monitors staffing plans to support continuous 24/7 BHCC operations.
- Provides and oversees comprehensive nursing assessment and triage of individuals presenting with behavioral health substance use co-occurring and potential medical needs.
- Obtains and evaluates vital signs health history medication information signs and symptoms risk factors and other clinical information within the registered nurse scope of practice.
- Monitors nursing documentation and service delivery for completeness timeliness quality and compliance with agency professional regulatory contractual and program requirements.
- Monitors adherence to BHCC nursing protocols observation requirements medication procedures infection-control practices emergency procedures and clinical workflows.
