About the Role
We are seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract opportunity in Sitka Alaska. This role supports patients of all ages in an emergency care setting and requires strong clinical judgment calm decision-making patient assessment skills and the ability to respond quickly in routine and emergent situations.
Responsibilities
Provide direct emergency nursing care to pediatric adult and geriatric patients
Perform patient assessments identify changes in condition and respond promptly to emergencies
Administer medications treatments and therapeutic interventions safely
Coordinate care with physicians ancillary departments CNAs techs and the healthcare team
Document patient care accurately using Meditech and support safe discharge planning
Requirements
Active Alaska Registered Nurse License Required At Time Of Submission
BLS/BCLS And PALS Certifications Required
ACLS Certification Required Within Facility Timeframe
Flu vaccination required; fingerprint processing required before start
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility and be available for variable shifts and holiday coverage
