Role: Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Overview:

This contract role offers an opportunity to work as a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner in Reno NV providing care during weekday shifts with a consistent schedule.

Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive health histories and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses.
• Develop individualized treatment and care plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage medication therapy within state scope of practice.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests diagnostic imaging and other clinical studies.
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes hypertension asthma COPD and hyperlipidemia.
• Provide preventive care including physical examinations health screenings and immunizations.
• Provide womens mens adolescent and geriatric primary care.
• Evaluate and treat minor injuries infections respiratory illnesses and other common conditions.
• Provide patient education regarding nutrition exercise medications lifestyle changes and disease prevention.
• Perform or assist with appropriate office-based procedures.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare professionals.
• Review and communicate diagnostic results with patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR).
  
  Schedule and Shift Details:
  
  Work schedule is Tuesday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
