About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Stepdown Registered Nurse for a 13-week night-shift contract opportunity in Rome New York. This role supports adult and geriatric medical acute care patients and requires strong stepdown telemetry patient monitoring and clinical documentation skills.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric Med Surg stepdown patients
Monitor telemetry patients and respond promptly to changes in condition
Administer medications treatments and interventions according to care plans
Manage patient care in a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio setting
Document patient care accurately using Paragon and Pyxis systems
Requirements
Active New York Registered Nurse License Required
Minimum 1 2 years of Stepdown or Telemetry experience required
BLS ACLS And NIHSS Certifications Required
Adult and geriatric acute care experience preferred
Must be available for 12-hour night shifts and 13-week assignment
