Essential Functions:

• Performs plan of care intervention including medication administration specimen collection clinical treatments as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team physician patient and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living including personal hygiene elimination nutrition and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care including patient transfer discharge referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Assures quality of care by measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards.
• Deliver compassionate high-quality care across a variety of patient needs
• Utilize your clinical expertise to guide and implement individualized plans of care
• Serve as a patient-care innovator using the latest technology and best practices
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
• Bachelors degree (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• One year of RN experience (preferred but not required)
• Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required. If relocating licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins
