Location: Mattoon Illinois

Hourly Pay Range: $37.23 $57.71/hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)

Additional Shift Differentials:

$4.00/hour Night Shift Differential
Additional $2.00/hour Weekend Differential

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery is responsible for assessing planning implementing and evaluating individualized patient care. The RN provides clinical leadership to the patient care team while ensuring safe compassionate and evidence-based nursing care for labor and delivery patients.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment excellent communication skills and prior Labor & Delivery experience in an acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess patient conditions and identify nursing care needs
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Monitor laboring patients and provide direct patient care
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Document patient care accurately and timely
Coordinate patient care assignments and bed placement during shifts
Supervise and support healthcare team members
Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
Educate patients and families regarding care plans and procedures
Participate in professional development and continuing education activities
Serve as a positive role model and clinical resource for team members

Qualifications Required:

Active Illinois RN License
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
BLS/CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
Highly Preferred
ACLS Certification within 90 days of hire
Strong acute care and maternal-child nursing background
