Location: Mattoon Illinois
Hourly Pay Range: $37.23 $57.71/hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Additional Shift Differentials:
- $4.00/hour Night Shift Differential
- Additional $2.00/hour Weekend Differential

Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery is responsible for assessing planning implementing and evaluating individualized patient care. The RN provides clinical leadership to the patient care team while ensuring safe compassionate and evidence-based nursing care for labor and delivery patients.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment excellent communication skills and prior Labor & Delivery experience in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions and identify nursing care needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor laboring patients and provide direct patient care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient care accurately and timely
- Coordinate patient care assignments and bed placement during shifts
- Supervise and support healthcare team members
- Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and procedures
- Participate in professional development and continuing education activities
- Serve as a positive role model and clinical resource for team members
Qualifications Required:
- Active Illinois RN License
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
- BLS/CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
- Highly Preferred
- ACLS Certification within 90 days of hire
- Strong acute care and maternal-child nursing background
