Role: Registered Nurse - Perioperative / PACU / Surgical (RN)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional perioperative and postoperative patient care in a fast-paced patient-focused surgical and ambulatory environment in Charlotte Metro NC. This position serves as a trusted clinical partner guiding patients and caregivers through procedure preparations recovery monitoring and post-operative instructions while upholding the highest standards of clinical safety and care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Post-Operative Care & Recovery: Deliver comprehensive PACU/post-operative nursing assessments monitor patient recovery progress manage vital signs and address post-procedural concerns.
Procedural Preparation: Assist with patient prep consent verification vital signs intake intravenous access and care coordination on procedure days.
Patient Education & Discharge: Educate patients and family caregivers on individualized recovery treatment plans medication management and post-procedure care instructions.
Operations & Interdisciplinary Care: Collaborate closely with attending physicians surgeons and care teams to streamline clinical patient flow document care in EMRs and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education: ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
Licensure: Active NC or Compact RN license in good standing.
Experience: 13 years of clinical nursing experience in surgical recovery (PACU) procedural plastic surgery/aesthetics or ambulatory surgery settings preferred.
Attributes: Strong clinical assessment critical thinking skills professional demeanor and patient-centered focus.
Skills and Certifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS Perioperative & Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Recovery Protocols Pre-Operative.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES Active unrestricted North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) License.
