Responsibilities

A desirable opportunity exists for a highly accomplished professional to assist in the managing of the communitys Care Center Food and Beverage Operations to ensure a quality dining experience. This position works closely with community F&B staff to ensure sanitation and HACCP standards in compliance with local state and federal regulations.

Other responsibilities include but is not limited to:

  • Completing nutritional initial quarterly annual and significant change reviews on residents according to federal and state guidelines.
  • Reviewing monthly and weekly weights to determine those residents which have had a significant change.
  • Completing nutritional reviews monthly on high risk residents (significant weight loss/ gain pressure ulcer hemodialysis and tube fed).
  • Assessing nutritional needs diet restrictions and current health plans in order to develop and implement dietary care plans and provides nutritional counseling as needed.
  • Consulting with physicians and other health care personnel (Nurse Practitioners Dialysis Dietitians etc.) to determine diet restrictions and nutritional needs of residents.

Qualifications

  • Qualified applicants are required to possess a minimum 3 years of clinical nutrition experience.
  • State certification in food service sanitation is required.
  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration the credentialing agency for the American Dietetic Association is required.
  • Bachelors Degree in nutrition from an accredited college or university is required. Knowledge of HACCP preferred.
