Regional Manager Field Services
Job Summary
Reports to: Manager of Field Services
Cooperates with: Field Services Supervisors Technicians Training Engineering Production Sales Project Management Customers Safety/EHS Human Resources
Primary Responsibility: Responsible for leading the performance safety quality and customer readiness of Field Services operations within an assigned region. The Regional Field Services Manager provides direct leadership to regional supervisors and field service personnel ensuring technician work is planned executed documented and completed in alignment with MIRATECH expectations. This role supports regional staffing technician development customer issue resolution job readiness commissioning quality compliance and operational improvement while maintaining strong alignment with the Manager of Field Services and cross-functional partners.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead regional Field Services operations to ensure safe efficient and high-quality execution of commissioning service maintenance repair and customer support activities.
- Provide direct leadership coaching and accountability for Field Services Supervisors and regional team members ensuring expectations are clear and consistently reinforced.
- Partner with the Manager of Field Services to execute regional staffing plans workload balancing regionalization initiatives technician development plans and long-term operational improvements.
- Drive a strong safety culture by reinforcing EHS expectations supporting incident prevention ensuring jobsite readiness and following through on safety observations corrective actions and compliance requirements.
- Ensure customer requests job schedules site readiness pre-trip planning and field execution needs are proactively coordinated so technicians arrive prepared and customer commitments are met.
- Monitor regional performance metrics including technician utilization schedule adherence quality of completion first-time fix performance documentation compliance backlog customer responsiveness and cost awareness.
- Support the Technician Certification Program by reinforcing training expectations identifying skill gaps coordinating evaluator support and ensuring technicians continue progressing toward defined competency levels.
- Review and improve field documentation quality including service reports commissioning closeout information as-left documentation issue escalation details and required customer-facing deliverables.
- Serve as a regional escalation point for customer concerns technician support needs jobsite barriers quality concerns and operational risks ensuring timely communication and resolution.
- Collaborate with Engineering Production Project Management Sales Training and other internal teams to resolve field issues improve product feedback loops and strengthen customer outcomes.
- Identify recurring regional pain points process gaps tooling needs inventory needs and technician support opportunities then help develop practical solutions that improve field execution.
- Support hiring onboarding performance management succession planning and employee development activities for regional Field Services personnel.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in field service technical service commissioning construction support industrial service operations or a related technical environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead supervisors technicians or geographically dispersed teams while maintaining accountability for safety quality schedule execution documentation and customer satisfaction.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with the ability to reinforce EHS expectations in active jobsite construction industrial and customer environments.
- Strong communication coaching and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with technicians supervisors customers and internal business partners.
- Experience using operational data KPIs service reports schedules and customer feedback to identify risks prioritize work and improve regional performance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across active jobs technician needs customer requests urgent escalations and longer-term regional improvement efforts.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to use business systems such as Salesforce UKG Concur or similar service scheduling and reporting platforms.
- Ability to travel as needed to support regional operations customer sites technician development jobsite assessments and business needs.
- Bachelors degree in engineering business operations management or related field preferred; equivalent technical leadership or field service experience may be considered.
- Must possess a valid drivers license and passport.
- Must be able to access customer jobsites including active construction or industrial environments.
