Description:

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise ID is seeking a dedicated Regional Director of Security to join the Security team!

The Director of Security & Regional Command Center provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for security services and command center operations across the health system in Idaho and Oregon. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe secure and compliant environment for patients visitors colleagues providers and organizational assets. The Director leads the development implementation and continuous improvement of system-wide security emergency preparedness workplace violence prevention and access control programs.

The Director oversees Security and Regional Command Center personnel across multiple facilities ensuring alignment with organizational goals regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This leader serves as a key advisor to executive and facility leadership on security safety emergency management and operational readiness initiatives.

What Youll Need

  • Bachelors degree required; 10 years of supervisory or management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of healthcare security and/or law enforcement experience required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Oregon DPSST Unarmed Security Professional and Executive Manager certifications.
  • FBI National Academy graduate preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Security Services and Regional Command Center operations across the health system.
  • Develop and implement system-wide security safety emergency preparedness and workplace violence prevention programs.
  • Ensure the safety of patients visitors providers colleagues and organizational assets across all facilities.
  • Oversee security operations access control surveillance systems visitor management parking and related security technologies.
  • Direct emergency response incident management threat assessments investigations and disaster preparedness efforts.
  • Partner with facility leadership law enforcement first responders and external agencies to support security and safety initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission standards and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Manage departmental budgets policies resources and security-related capital projects.
  • Recruit develop and lead high-performing security and command center teams while fostering a culture of accountability and service excellence.
